In Alegrete, a rural village of Alto Alentejo Region, at the very heart of São Mamede moutain in Besteiros, there is a vineyard 500 meters above the sea in rocky soil. The wine produced is called “Folha do Meio”, that means a slice of ground where the vyneard is planted. The harvest is manual acording modern standars. This Grand Reserve Wine comes from the varieties are Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Alicante Buschet and Aragonez. The colour is dark red with a brown touch , with spicy notes. The flavour is very intense, smooth tanines and great quality, well balanced with wood. This is a very special red wine a pearl among other wines.
